A temperature-controlled mobile container, often known as a “Reefer Container”, is a refrigerated container. They were created to move temperature or climate-sensitive goods across international borders as part of intermodal freight transport. However, as more companies and individuals reuse containers, they are now being used for purposes other than international transit.
Reefer containers can keep perishable products hot or fresh, depending on your needs, regardless of the name. They can regulate indoor temperatures from -85 degrees Fahrenheit to over 100 degrees Fahrenheit.
Reefer Container Function
Reefer containers are designed to withstand a certain range of temperatures. They usually use T-shaped floors and insulated walls, as well as integrated or external cooling systems.

The generator will only be attached to the outside of the receptacle. This allows air to circulate through ducts or portholes, allowing air to enter and exit the container. T-shaped floors made of metal or aluminium are also used in reefer containers, as opposed to plywood floors in standard containers. It slightly lifts the contents of the container off the ground by creating a raised floor. This allows a continuous flow of hot or cold air underneath. This is due to the T floor space between the metal slats, which can trap feet and furniture shoes, as well as collect dirt. You should cover the T floor with another type of floor if you want to use the reefer container as a home or office. You can also completely get rid of the T-floor.
The walls of traditional storage containers are made of corrugated steel. On the other hand, reefer containers have several layers of insulation to keep their contents cool. Stainless steel sheets, foam insulation, and aluminium foil will form the walls of the container.
